Wednesday Wishes

This is Wednesday leaning out of her cat tree. She may look like just your average gray tabby cat, but she has many skills. Most of these skills, she uses for The Good. Okay, 'most' might be a slight exaggeration. Wednesday is a good little kitty, though, at heart. She loves her family, loves her sisters, loves annoying those sisters and she also loves to grant wishes. Every Wednesday morning, I will rub the side of the cat house and summon our magic cat!

My Wednesday Wishes for the week:

1) A Remote Control For Life. This way, when I'm sick or not feeling well, I can FAST FORWARD to tomorrow (for migraines) or a few days later (for a virus). When I've had a particularly rockin' week, I can REWIND to relive those days again. Or TiVo them to replay.

2) Another Dog. There are so many great dogs dying in the shelters right now. If I take a chihuahua, I could even get TWO more. Another pitty. But a real one this time that won't grow to be over 40 pounds. Not a possibility right now, though. Not enough time for another two dogs. Not enough space in the house for another two dogs. Except for that itty bitty chihuahua.

How CUTE is she??? She'd fit in my purse! But I can't talk The Hubster into it. He's not a fan of little dogs given how many times Lily has been bit by them.

3) Gas. In my car. I want to go out in the morning and have it be magically FULL! I was too tired to stop for any today and I'll be in need of some tomorrow. Maybe the GAS FAIRY will come in the middle of the night like Santa and fill my tank with GAS. What do you think?

What about you - what are your wishes for Wednesday this week?

  1. The dog is so cute!

I think the only wish I have for this Wednesday is the ability to get caught up with all the things on my To-Do list. I'm starting to sink fast with current projects.

  2. My wish for today is to cram as much stuff to do in on my day off. It's very likely I won't succeed, but that's my wish for today!

  4. I like the remote for life! I could fastforward work :p

My wish right now is that we don't have snow ... for at least another month!

  5. AWE Cute puppy!

My wish is for these hiccups to go away. They hurt. Hate hiccups.

    Feel better!

  6. A remote control for life... I'm so with you!!!

I hope Colene's hiccups have disappeared! How awful!!!

I'm wishing I could stop overthinking. It's killing my mood.

  7. Hmmm...I wish I could skip work for the next two days and just read The Scorch Trials - of course, once I start it won't take two days to finish, because I won't be able to put it down! :-)

  8. Andrea - I have been fighting the temptation to just go get her and deal The Hubster later. I can't fathom giving her up. She was an owner dump and she's super sweet (according to the friend who caught her on video).

Abby - I know that is. I always feel bad if I don't fit everything in. Sometimes I set my goals low. For example, I need to get ten things done, but I put 5 down on my list. Then when I accomplish 3 more, 8 out of 10 isn't bad and ABOVE what I set out for myself. Here's to hoping you got them all done!

Meredith - I know, poor thing. But maybe she'll be one of the few lucky ones that gets to go to a HOME! A remote control for you as well!

Erica - Let's swap homes. That way you are guaranteed no snow for another month and I'll actually get some! ;-) I never thought of using the remote for work. I might be able to make a fortune if I could just figure out how to make these suckers!

Colene - I hate hiccups. Although it's cute when the dog gets them. I used to be able to hold my breath, plug my nose and count to ten. Poof! They'd be gone like magic. Not anymore. Sugar doesn't work either. I wonder if that's just a myth? I certainly hope yours are gone by now!

Jen - Ugh, overthinking. There really ought to be a cure for that. I wonder if that's a writer thing? I drive The Hubster nuts because I overthink everything and usually share it all out loud!

Shannon - You'd read it one day, but you'd need the second day off to recover if you stay up all night like I do. I'll have to check out The Scorch Trials if the book is that good!

  9. Ditto the remote control! I think the button I'd use the most is MUTE. How cool it would be if you could just press a button and all the construction noise around you, all the noisy neighbors, car alarms, etc. would just go suddenly silent? Awesome.

  10. Jenny - I love it! I hadn't even thought about that. Brilliant!

  11. Why not wish for a bigger place so the issue of space for the dog isn't an issue?
