My Wednesday Wishes for the week:
1) Magic Rewrite Wand - I want to be able to picture what I want for the rewrite, wave the wand and - PRESTO! instant rewrite complete. Of course, you couldn't just wave it over the entire manuscript and have it finished. You'll have to go chapter by chapter. But that's okay! Because it's still less work - and how incredible would it be to pull it out of your head and onto the paper EXACTLY the way you saw it! Instead of having to fuss around to try to get it that way! I can't tell you how many times I see it one way in my mind, but once the writing starts...oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. Not what I wanted to happen! So Magic Rewrite Wand, please!
2) Amazing Grace - Grace has been lucky enough to have a wonderful foster home, but she really needs her own forever home with her own kids. She's such a sweet, amazing dog that deserves the BEST in life after having the worst start. And she's as beautiful inside as she is out! So I'm wishing really hard for a home for Grace!
3) Rain - What does a girl have to do to get some rain? Or even just a nice cloudy, overcast day? I feel like such a brat for complaining and maybe this is a big sign that I need to move...but I look forward to those days that I can cuddle up on the couch and get some writing done with rain in the background. We haven't had ANY since before Christmas. What kind of winter is that?!? At the moment, I've taken to listening to rain on YouTube. How sad! So I'm wishing for just a day of rain next week - Monday would be great because it's a holiday and the wet streets wouldn't affect anyone!
What about you - what are your wishes for our magical cat?
Ooooh magic rewrite wand. I'll have one too while we're wishing! I'd also like to add guilt free skittles and lots more time off to the list! Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteToday I'll just take the ability to concentrate/focus. But if Wednesday is feeling generous there's a dementor type person I wouldn't mind seeing banished to Azkaban. Actually, if Wednesday would do that then I'd be able to concentrate :)
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a magic rewrite wand. If you could make them they would sell like crazy.
ReplyDeleteI won't tell you how much I enjoy editing then. Now if a wand could at least spit out a rough draft for me, then I would be sold.
ReplyDeleteI'll send you our rain. It's a frog strangler today.
If I could translate the way I see things in my head onto paper, that would be fantastic! That's always such a problem. We finally got a stormy day here on Monday, and I loved curling up and writing to the sound of it. It really is the best atmosphere, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI forget how much I adore your Wednesday Wishes!! I wish to have an easy process adopting a child! The cost is out there so I suppose I really wish for an 'adoption bank'!
ReplyDeleteCan I have an edit wand? I'm up against a super tight deadline and I'm moving this weekend and... *head explodes*
ReplyDeleteI would love for all my stuff to arrive on Friday, on time. Please, Wednesday? And tell your mommy I'm emailing her really soon with an update!
Grace looks so big next to that boy, bless.
ReplyDeleteWishes, wishes... That all the clothes I listed on eBay sell. Amazing books in my future. And an awesome brainstorming session that leads to a must-write story idea.
Hope you get your rain to get you in the mood to write!
Dude, you can move here and get snow! It's 18 degrees with a wind chill of like, 0. Fun fun! I would give anything for warmth and sun right now!
ReplyDeleteBut yeah, an rewrite/edit wand would be awesome!
I so want a magical rewrite wand!
ReplyDeleteoh, magical Wednesday. I just need to know what to do. :p And I'm woefully behind the Wednesday wagon. LOL! But I'm glad you're all better and Grace is finding a home. Here's hoping it's a permanent one. ((hugs))
