FUN Friday

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

One of my all time favorites - Choppin' Broccoli!

Frank Caliendo - and his amazing impressions!

KID FUNNIES:

I had a 2nd grader say this:
"I have a friend and he can communicate with dolphins. He speaks their language and they understand him. He can translate for humans." He went on and on and on, then he finished with, "Actually, that friend is me."

How do you even react to that?

One of the great things about my job is that the kids remember me. I went back to a school this week that I had taught at two weeks ago. The third graders were at recess as I was walking across the playground. "Look! There's Ms. Jennifer!" I hear. Followed by about four girls saying my name over and over as they ran up to me. Remember, my accident with the hair dye? "Hi, Ms. Jenn...heeeeeeeeey, what happened to your hair?"

Picture a very suspicious face like I did it on purpose to trick her.

I'm gift wrapping this weekend for my non-profit! Here's to hoping people are generous with their donations so children can continue to teach me dolphin speak and make fun of my hair.

What about you? What are your plans this weekend?

  1. That Dana Carvey HBO special is still my favorite of all time. They used to rerun it all the time on Comedy Central. Nice way to start the day. Thanks!

  5. Aw, little kids say the cutest things! My little cousin once told me that dinosaurs were real, and he knew where they were. I just smiled and nodded :) Good luck with gift wrapping! Have a great weekend!

  6. I just love your kid stories! They're so honest and funny.

This weekend I'm going to try and get ready for Christmas. We're traveling over the holidays (Ug! I just got home yesterday!) and so we have lots to prepare for.

    Have an awesome weekend!

  7. What a fun story. I swam at the pool today next to a guy who wore fins on his feet and paddles on his hands and a snorkel. He made me think of dolphins.

Have fun gift wrapping. This weekend. I will be finishing my holiday sewing while I'm snowed in at work since we are supposed to have an epic snowstorm.

  9. Aw, so cool! Omg, I LOVE that 2nd grader comment because I can so see my best friend's son doing that. And the fact that they remember stuff- those kids are sponges, I tell ya. My daughter remembers SO much, it's kinda weird, and she's only 5.

  10. I love to listen to what kids say.

This weekend, I'm catching up on blogs, as usual, doing some housework, trying to decorate a bit, and maybe tinkering around with some words....
