Wednesday Wishes

This is Wednesday leaning out of her cat tree. She may look like just your average gray tabby cat, but she has many skills. Most of these skills, she uses for The Good. Okay, 'most' might be a slight exaggeration. Wednesday is a good little kitty, though, at heart. She loves her family, loves her sisters, loves annoying those sisters and she also loves to grant wishes. Every Wednesday morning, I will rub the side of the cat house and summon our magic cat!

My Wednesday Wishes for the week:

1) A magic wand - My mom used to say to me "I wish I had a magic wand I could wave that would just make it all better." I want one of those. I have two friends who are hurting emotionally right now and I want to make it better for them. I have a cousin who isn't doing well physically and I want to heal him. I want to take the itchies away from my dog. I want my football team to win the game in the final seconds. And I want a clean office. Is that too much to ask for? With just ONE magic wand, I could accomplish all of that!

2) A neverending supply of Venti Shaken Iced Green Teas with two splenda. That is my afternoon obsession at the moment. It would be nice not to have to pay for them. Maybe the magic wand could make those appear as well?

3) The ability to manage my time wisely this next week. We're very busy (non-profit) and I'm in the middle of polishing up the first five scenes of the MS for the upcoming Working Writer's Retreat. I love to blog. Too much. I actually had to set the timer today. And then I reset it. Twice. I can accomplish everything plus make dinner from scratch plus walk the dog plus clean the house till it sparkles plus do my own super sweaty workout plus do laundry - if I just manage my time well this week. Please oh please.

What about you? What are your wishes for Wednesday this week?

  1. 1) Speaking of tea, I wish I could magically stumble upon a sweet but healthy snack to eat with a selection of herbal teas since I'm going through 3 or 4 cups a day. Or even just something small and not-too-bad health-wise but sweet.

    2) I would like my student debts to 'accidentally' be erased. I have some money in savings but I feel guilty spending it when I'm so in debt that I can't enjoy it!

    3) In fact, I wish I had a better attitude toward money. I could afford to take a day trip to London if I wasn't convinced I need to have some ridiculous awesome schedule to make the money 'worth' spending. Egads.
    - Sophia.

    2. No more construction noise outside my window. The banging is really starting to bug me.

    3. Blurbs! My editor will be hitting up other authors for blurbs this week... please please please let someone say yes.

  7. Sophie...Those lovely student loans. I wish mine had been erased! See, that magic wand would have come in handy!

Clarissa...I love all three. Especially number two! Coffee is the reason I get out of bed in the morning.

Jenna...I forgot my stepmom on Mother's Day. I remembered my monster-in-law, the hubster's TWO stepmoms, my own mom, but I completely forgot her and she is one of the sweetest women ever. I still feel guilty.

Carolyn...See, that magic wand could wave that cold away!

Andrea...a drama free wedding? That might be a first ever!

Jennifer...if your card arrives in the mail today, you could get a FREE venti iced green tea. Wednesday will see what she can do about the banging and the blurbs!

  8. I hope your friends look up soon. That's rough, seeing people you love hurting.

My Wed wish came true already: for the day to fly by at work. Totally did. Woot. But, if you stumble on a wand please let me know where and see if there is a second. Will be there asap to get it. thank you.

  9. I will wish for a time turner for you so you really can get it all done! My oldest daughter was just wishing for one, too. ;)
Other than that - I think I'll take unlimited grande vanilla lattes - brilliant idea there - the time to volunteer in both kids' classes, hang with my 2 year old, and knock this manuscript into shape would be nice too. Let me know if you find that wand!
