Wednesday Wishes

This is Wednesday leaning out of her cat tree. She may look like just your average gray tabby cat, but she has many skills. Most of these skills, she uses for The Good. Okay, 'most' might be a slight exaggeration. Wednesday is a good little kitty, though, at heart. She loves her family, loves her sisters, loves annoying those sisters and she also loves to grant wishes. Every Wednesday morning, I will rub the side of the cat house and summon our magic cat!

1) Endless bag of Coffee - Madagascar Vanilla or Chocolate Macadamia Nut from Gloria Jean's, please. Coffee is the reason I get out of bed in the morning. I'm not even joking. Nothing smells better than a pot as it's brewing. I love settling in with my first cup. I just want bags that never run dry. Like Harry Potter tent bags. You reach in and it's waaaaaay bigger than it looks!

2) A Garden - I'm working on this one slowly. My Grandpa had a green thumb. He grew the most delicious fruits and veggies. I used to love being over there for dinner and hearing my Grandma holler out to him "Dick, some fresh string beans would be nice." He would say, "Coming, Dot" and next thing you knew, he was handing you a huge bowl of string beans. I used to love snapping off the ends. The green thumb skipped a generation. My mom's thumb is black. She can kill FAKE plants (sorry, Mom, I'm totally outing you). This year we're going to see if I have inherited more than Grandpa's high cholesterol! I'm planning tomatoes, string beans, yellow squash, zucchini...and an assortment of herbs.

3) Live in Masseuse - Forget a chef. Forget an assistant. I want a massage therapist. Right now, my TMJ is bad. My neck and shoulders are so tight. I would love nothing more than to lay on a table and get a shoulder, neck, face massage! What a way to fall asleep! But I have to have the right setting for it as well. So, I would be able to step into my magic room that would look like this:

...and get my massage any time I want. I could smell the ocean, hear the gentle lapping of the waves on the shore, the occasional seagull. The room would always be the perfect temperature too, no matter what the thermometer said outside. How wonderful would that be!?!

What about you - what are your wishes for Wednesday?

P.S. - For those of you wondering about Bob, I have an update here.

Have a magical Wednesday!

  1. Must. Find. Chocolate Macademia Nut coffee...

I've been at this brick wall in my rewrite, a pivotal section that depending on how I write it changes how the rest will be rewritten. I'd really love to break through that wall by the end of the weekend... realistically maybe the end of the month.

  2. Oh my gosh yes to the third wish. I would maybe also enjoy just having a beach in my magic room, sans masseuse, but if it's a package deal who am I to say no? I'd still dig that chef I asked Wednesday about a couple weeks ago (is he in the mail, I know international shipping takes a while?). And an iphone for those rare occasions I get a text and/or travel to places and want to use streetmap. I'm such a material girl!

  3. awesome wishes. I often wish there was a masseuse at work but a live in masseuse would be even better.

  4. Oh good wishes! The masseuse is my fav. I wish for a maid that cooked and cleaned and then disappeared not to bother me or ask me for money and time off. Genie maid? And a money tree. NO! A money garden! Yea...

  5. I need a massage therapist too! Same problem as you, neck and shoulders, which is new for me - I used to have low back pain but that's totally fine now.

You know, I might just book an appointment this week... life's too short to suffer!

  7. Ooo, yes, a masseuse. It's been at least 3 years since I've had massage therapy. It really does help. But it's spendy, so I've taken up exercising/dancing around to loosen myself up. Not as good as a good massage, however. :)

  9. I actually squealed when I read about your Mom's thumb. I've said for years that I could kill a plastic plant, lol!

We had a half acre garden behind our house and my uncle and grandpa used to help us with it. We hated to have to work in it during the summer....but I wish we had it now. Man, fresh veggies and fruits and anything else you could think of, yum!

Good luck with yours and when your massage is over, would you send the masseuse my way, pretty please?
